The best cupcakes I ever made

A recipe essay by Beckey Grundy, age 98 

ingredients: (this makes about 8, BTW, double it for more)

2/3 cup of flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

pinch salt

the wet goods:

1 egg

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup oil

a handful of strawberries that you’ve diced up a bit.

Mix all the wet ingredients together, and in a separate bowl mix the dry (sugar is considered a wet ingredient if you are unfamiliar with baking). Then combine, folding them together. Don’t overmix.

preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and pour the mix into little paper cupcake cups about 3/4 full or less.

Bake for 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cupcake comes out clean.

remove from pan, let cool!

while it’s cooling is a good time to get a bit of frosting made.

this is the frosting I used, but I imagine a cream cheese frosting would work v. well with this also.

Anyway mine was just powdered sugar with a dab of butter and a spinkle of vanilla. Very simple. Chill it a bit in the fridge before you apply it. You gotta wait until your little cupcakes are cooled off before you can put it on anyway otherwise the frosting will just run everywhere.

So these turned out pretty well. I usually suck at baking, but the big ass chunks of strawberries in these are just mmmmmmm

I see a lot of people arround here saying they’re interested in the series but they can’t find the roms and stuff. That’s why I made a “special package” with all of the three games (EarthBound Zero, EarthBound and the english-translated MOTHER 3 Rom) with the respective emulators and some other useful stuff like the EarthBound Zero’s easy patch (if you patch the game with this, the exp you gain will be like in EB and the game will get A LOT easier, making it friendlier for any kind of gamer) (yes, exactly like the easy ring from MOTHER 1+2).

I call it the “Play the MOTHER series godammit” package (DO IT) and you can download it HERE (Yeah, Mediafire goodness).

As a tip, I would recommend you to start from EarthBound Zero… yeah, they game nobody mentions. Why? Well, because EarthBound it’s almost its DIRECT SEQUEL, you’ll actually meet EarthBound’s villain in EB Zero first, and it is an incredibly touching and beautiful game, you have to give it a shot.

It is a personal belief of mine that all Midgardians are warriors in their own right. In my youth, I was taught that surrender was never an option — and, in the battle of life itself, it should never be for you, either.
